Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone brand, is set to launch its newest member of the Civi series in the Chinese market. The Xiaomi Civi 3 will be the first phone to be launched with MediaTek’s brand new Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset.

The ultimate performance of the new chipset is likely to be increased compared to its previous version, the Dimensity 8200, launched last December. In addition to improved processing power, Xiaomi has also confirmed improvements to the image signal processing (ISP).

These improvements will result in reduced power consumption in the camera app, faster shooting speed and a number of new video features which will be detailed later. Users can therefore expect an improved photo and video experience with these updates.

Currently, rumours predict that the Civi 3 will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Civi 2’s pair of 32MP front cameras will probably not be retained, while the Civi 3 will feature a 50MP rear main camera with an upgraded Sony IMX800 sensor.

In addition, users can expect a powerful 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging for an even smoother, uninterrupted user experience.

Although only available in China for now, the Xiaomi Civi 3 promises exciting features and impressive performance for users looking to enjoy cutting-edge technology on their smartphone. Stay tuned for more teasers and updates on the official launch.
