Ping Pong – Watch Retro Game, once published as Pong for Apple Watch, comes from the German studio Briegers GbR. It follows the idea of Pong from the early days of video games: two paddles, one ball, and your job is to stop the ball getting past you.
What Ping Pong is for
On Apple Watch you move the paddle by turning the Digital Crown, which gives precise control without covering the screen with your finger. There are around a dozen modes and several difficulty levels. Other arcade classics can be unlocked separately, including brick breaking, space invaders, a falling-block puzzle, snake and jumping games. A local mode lets you play someone else with the iPhone against the watch.
Who is it for?
It’s aimed at Apple Watch owners who want something to fill a few seconds or a few minutes, and at anyone nostalgic for arcade games. It also runs on iPhone, but the crown controls really make sense on the watch.
Download Ping Pong safely
The game is a free download on the App Store. The extra retro games and the colour customizer are sold separately or as a bundle through in-app purchases. There is no Android version, so install it on your iPhone and watch through the App Store only.
