For its part, Honor stands out with a new outstanding product: the Magic 5 Pro that was announced last month. Each of these smartphones is sure to blow your mind, but which one is better? By taking a closer look at the two devices, this comparison guide will give you some answers.

Display Huawei P60 Pro vs Honor Magic 5 Pro

Huawei’s phone packs a 6.67-inch LTPO OLED display. It is a screen protected by Kunlun glass and offers a resolution of 2,700 x 1,220 pixels at 444 dpi, as well as a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

As for the Magic 5 Pro, it comes with a 6.81-inch display that is based on AMOLED LTPO technology. This HDR10+ screen, offers a Full HD+(1080p) display with a resolution of 1,312 x 2,848 at 460 dpi, an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits.

The display on both devices is fairly smooth. However, the Magic 5 Pro’s display has a larger size, better resolution and is based on newer technology. So the Magic 5 Pro’s screen is better than the Huawei P60 Pro’s, which makes perfect sense.

Since at the time of writing this article, the screen of the Magic 5 Pro has already been tested by the experts at DXOMARK. Honor’s smartphone was ranked at the top of the list with a score of 151 points for its screen. It is therefore considered the phone that offers the best display in the mobile sector.

The Huawei P 60 Pro is more powerful than the Magic 5 Pro?

The Huawei P60 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with an Adreno 730 GPU, and is offered by its manufacturer in 8GB RAM / 256GB storage and 12GB RAM / 512GB storage models.

The capacity of its internal memory can be expanded via micro SD because the device has a slot for the memory card (hybrid slot, also housing the second SIM)

The P60 Pro runs under an operating system HarmonyOS 3.1 (for models marketed in China) or EMUI (for Europe). It is still necessary to specify that the new product of Huawei does not support 5G. It is limited to 4G and does not inherit the services of Google like the Play Store.

The Magic 5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is an eight-core processor assisted by an Adreno 740 GPU. It comes in 8GB RAM / 256GB, 12GB RAM/ 256GB, 12GB RAM / 512GB and 16GB RAM / 512GB models.

Only the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant will be available in Europe. The memory technology used on the Magic 5 Pro is UFS 4.0. Honor’s smartphone supports 5G and features Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1 interface.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Magic 5 Pro is an improved version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the Huawei P60 Pro. In addition, Honor’s device benefits from more RAM than that available on the Huawei P60 Pro.

So, even if the two phones are equivalent in terms of internal storage, it is clear that the Huawei P60 Pro is no match for the Honor Magic 5 Pro in terms of performance.

The Huawei P60 Pro’s camera block includes a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 48MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the front panel of the device houses a 13MP front camera.

There is a wide angle sensor playing the role of main camera, an ultra wide angle sensor and a telephoto lens supporting an optical zoom of up to 3.5x. For selfies, the device has a 12 MP front camera associated with a 3D TOF depth sensor.

For its part, the Huawei P60 Pro has not yet been tested on DXOMARK. However, if it comes with improvements compared to its predecessor, then it is clear that it will be rated with a score better than the 143 points. Regardless, the Magic 5 Pro is so far better than the P60 Pro in terms of camera.
