ApowerMirror is a screen mirroring tool made by Apowersoft. Unlike apps that simply push the picture to a TV, it pairs with a program installed on Windows or macOS, which means you can also control the phone from the computer.
What ApowerMirror is for
It shows the screen of an Android phone or an iPhone on a computer, sound included, over Wi-Fi or a USB cable. An Android phone can then be driven from the PC with mouse and keyboard; that feature needs Android’s Accessibility permission, which you can refuse if you don’t need it. ApowerMirror can also mirror one phone to another, show the PC screen on the phone, cast to Android TVs and feed the picture into software such as OBS Studio or Zoom. With VIP, up to four devices can be shown at once.
Who is it for?
It’s useful for playing mobile games on a big screen, demoing an app in a meeting, recording your phone’s screen or helping a relative sort out theirs. The free version is fine for a trial, but it handles one device at a time and watermarks recordings; regular use means paying for the VIP subscription.
Download ApowerMirror safely
Get the mobile app from the Google Play Store or the App Store, and the Windows and macOS program from Apowersoft’s own site. Steer clear of “free VIP” builds shared elsewhere: they don’t come from the developer, and this is an app that asks for wide-ranging permissions on your phone.
