The Redmi K60E came much later, at the beginning of 2022 and we wonder which of the smartphones is better than the other? Does the fact that the K60E came out later mean that it is better than its predecessor? We answer that in this article.

Redmi K60E for a better display
The Redmi K60E features a 6.67-inch OLED display with brightness ranging from 1200 nits to 1900 nits. Its resolution is 1440 x 3200 pixels for a density of 526 ppi. There is plenty of room to observe a small detail on an image of modest size. The screen ratio is 20:9, which allows you to see the width of the screen. The visibility of images is continuous and there is no time to notice any latency thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 12, unlike its opponent of the day embeds an AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 1100 nits. The screen has a size of 6.28 inches for 1080 x 2400 pixels for an average display. The pixel density is 419ppi with a ratio of 20 : 9. The refresh rate is 120Hz and supports 68B colors. This allows your screen to faithfully reproduce the color density of an image without any attenuation.
Xiaomi, for the Redmi K60E series has opted for the Android 12 system, supported by the MIUI 13 for better resource management. The chipset is none other than the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 which provides rather fast processing thanks to its 8 cores consisting of 1×3.1 GHz Cortex-A78 & 3×3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. The device also supports graphics users with its Mali-G610 GPU. The graphical experience may not allow playing last generation games but will run a good number of applications
On the other side, the Xiaomi 12 uses Android version 12 with a MIUI 13 for its device. Sure, with its system, the K60E becomes a particular choice but hold on to your hat. The chip embedded in the Xiaomi 12 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 8 cores for running processes. According to CPU-Monkey the chipset of the Xiaomi 12 would be much more powerful than that of its counterpart K60E. The graphics aspect is provided by the Adreno 730 GPU that allows to meet the graphic needs of applications. Thanks to him, you will be able to play the latest Call of Duty mobile without having the image blurred.
Both smartphones have about the same storage capacities and would employ the same technologies. There is talk of UFS 3.1 as a storage feature for better space management and high file transfer speed. The smartphones are available with 8 or 12GB of RAM depending on the configuration: 128GB/8GB RAM, 256GB/8GB RAM, 256GB/12GB RAM. The Redmi K60E goes one step further with a 512GB/12GB RAM device.
Redmi K60E is equipped with a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 5500mAh. Wired charging is the only mode available where the wire accepts up to 67W for a fill up in about 45min. The battery life in simple use is about 8 hours for calls, messages and calculations without using mobile data or Wi-Fi.
For its part, the Xiaomi 12 offers a battery type Li-Po with 4500mAh. Nevertheless, it has nothing to envy to the K60E because its intelligent system interrupts the suspended tasks for too long. This saves energy and extends the life cycle of the battery. Its autonomy can then easily compete with the capacity of its competitor of the day. Obviously the functions of fast load are present, but more evolved is 67W in wired load, 50W in wireless load and 10W for the reverse load.
The Redmi K60E has a triple camera configuration, the main one being a wide angle camera with 48MP. The second one would be a wide angle type to increase the field of view with 8MP. In the last position, an optical sensor with 2MP that will essentially calibrate the image while it is taken. The features are numerous such as optical zoom, dual flash or even HDR for clearer images under high contrast. A front camera is embedded in the screen with 20MP for taking selfies with a magnificent resolution of about 1080P.
A 50MP camera is installed on the back of the Xiaomi 12. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultra wide angle camera and a 5MP telephoto sensor. The main features of this triple-lens camera system include touch focus, auto flash, face detection and digital zoom. A 32MP camera is also present on the front panel to capture great selfies, record videos and make video calls
Prices are very often a function of a smartphone’s features. Well, we should believe that the Xiaomi 12 was judged more efficient than the K60E. The prices are clear on that because we will find our Redmi K60E at a price of 350€, while the Xiaomi 12 costs almost double that, i.e. 509€. Of course, depending on the storage configuration of the phone, the prices will not be the same.
The Xiaomi 12 series was released much earlier than the Redmi K60E, but that does not make them less powerful devices. We saw above that in terms of screen and display the K60E is the tool of the situation. Only, it is on the fringe when it comes to performance as well as camera. The Xiaomi 12 may have been on the market for a while, but it has some significant advantages. It seems to perpetuate its existence in affordable phones with good features.
