Health Tracker: BP Monitor

HealthTracker Apps Health Free with in-app purchases

Android health log for blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and BMI, with a camera-based pulse reading and charts that show trends over time.

Use responsibly Health Tracker is not a medical device: blood pressure and blood sugar are entered by hand, and the camera-based heart rate is only an estimate. If you have any concern about your health, see a doctor.

Health Tracker: BP Monitor is an Android app from HealthTracker Apps. At heart it’s a logbook: you record your blood pressure, blood sugar and weight readings and get them back as charts.

What Health Tracker is for

After taking your blood pressure with a cuff, you type in the numbers and the app tells you whether they fall within the usual ranges. Blood sugar, weight and BMI are tracked the same way. Heart rate can be estimated with the phone’s camera and flash: you rest a fingertip on the lens and the app picks up changes in blood flow, a method called photoplethysmography. From that it also derives heart rate variability and a stress score. On top of this come reminders, a step counter, local weather, articles, recipes and a chatbot called AI Doctor, which the developer itself describes as for reference only.

Who is it for?

It suits people who need to keep an eye on their blood pressure or blood sugar and want a readable history to show their doctor, instead of a paper notebook. It doesn’t replace a blood pressure monitor or a glucose meter.

Health Tracker is free on Google Play, with ads and in-app purchases. The store listing states that it isn’t a medical device and warns that the flash can get very hot on some phones during a pulse reading. Avoid copies from outside Google Play.
