The Xiaomi 13 has a 6.36-inch OLED display with a brightness ranging from 1200 nits to 1900 nits. Its resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels with a density of 414 ppi. The screen ratio is 20:9, which allows you to see how wide the screen is. The images are continuously visible and there is no time to notice any latency thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro, like the 13, has an OLED screen with a high brightness of up to 1900 nits. The screen is 6.73 inches in size and has 1440 x 3200 pixels for a remarkable display. The pixel density is 522ppi with a ratio of 20:9, while the refresh rate is 120Hz and supports 1B colors.
Xiaomi, for the Xiaomi 13 series has opted for Android 13 as the operating system supported by the MIUI 14. The chipset is the latest release from Qualcomm and it needs no introduction; it is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which is the processor of the moment for Android. The Xiaomi 13 has a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 4500mAh. Charging features range from wired charging with a capacity of 67W for a 38min charge to wireless charging at 50W. On the other hand, we can charge the same from our phone at 10W.
For its part, the Xiaomi 13 Pro goes slightly beyond what the base 13 offers with 320mAh more; that’s 4820mAh of battery capacity. Obviously the fast charge functions are more advanced 120W for wired charging, 50W for wireless charging and 10W for reverse charging.
The Xiaomi 13 according to the design will have a triple camera configuration with the main one being a wide angle camera with 50MP. The second would be a telephoto type with 10MP allowing triple optical zoom to accentuate details when taking photos or videos. Lastly, an ultra-wide angle optical sensor with 12MP for a wide and panoramic view of the environment. Features include optical zoom, automatic image stabilisation and even HDR for clearer images under high contrast.
A 50MP camera is installed on the back of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra wide angle camera and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Key features of this triple-lens camera system include touch focus, auto flash, face detection and digital zoom.
A 32MP camera is also present on the front of both smartphones to capture great selfies, record videos and make video calls.
The Xiaomi 13 series will be available in a different colour scheme, which will differentiate between them. For the 13, there will be white, blue, red, yellow, green and grey among others. The 13 Pro will opt for the same colours but with a slight silver tint. In regarding the prices, they will be available during the year 2023 at amazon in the order of 550€ for the Xiaomi 13 and 827€ for the 13 Pro version.
The Xiaomi 13 series has a lot to offer and the market is already expecting it to be a modern day revolution. Its no-longer-introduced chipset will deliver impressive performance and its GPU will delight the hearts of mobile gamers. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are quite similar in terms of but the 13 version is slightly more advanced than you might think. It’s all about extra battery life, better optical sensors on the camera and a higher graphics density on the screen. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13 is more affordable in terms of cost.
