This announcement is especially timely for the day when the world’s fastest charging phone – the Realme GT 3 – goes beyond China’s borders and goes global.
The introduction of 300W ultra-fast charging comes just a month after Realme introduced its 240W fast charging technology. With this, Redmi officially becomes the world’s fastest charging solution, which is interesting on the day Realme launches the world’s fastest charging phone – the Realme GT 3.
The company claims that this can charge the battery to 100% in just 5 minutes. The brand released an official demo video and used a modified Redmi Note 12 Discovery (Explorer Edition) with a 4,100mAh battery (the original has a dual cell 4,300mAh) in a controlled environment. The device took 2 minutes and 11 seconds to reach 50% and less than 5 minutes to fully charge.

One important thing to note about the video that was officially released by Redmi is the fact that the phone was only able to touch 290W once, not the claimed 300W, and that was for about 3 seconds.
