The Armor 34 Pro+ from Ulefone is the most outsized rugged phone you can buy in 2026: 825 grams, a 25,500 mAh battery and a video projector housed in the top of the chassis. It is built for building sites, overnight camps and dashboards, not for the pocket of a pair of jeans. Expect to pay about €650 (about 426,000 FCFA) when it is not on promotion. Our team has not had the device in hand: this page cross-checks the manufacturer’s data, the published reviews and the feedback left by buyers.
Introduction: the Armor 34 Pro+, the rugged phone that wants to do it all
Ulefone took a power bank, a small video projector, a camping lamp, an infrared camera and a mid-range 5G smartphone, then cast the whole lot into a block certified IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. The result weighs 825 grams and looks like nothing else on the market.
Ulefone has not put a new flagship on sale this year. The model that plays that role in the 2026 catalogue is the Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+, which went on sale in mid-December 2025 and was the star of the brand’s stand at MWC in Barcelona in March, where Android Headlines gave it a “Best of MWC 2026” award. It reuses the chassis of the Armor 34 Pro released in June 2025 and swaps the Dimensity 7300 chip for a Dimensity 7400X.
The official price is $799.99, brought down to $749.99 on the brand’s own store, which works out at about €650 (about 426,000 FCFA) according to GSMArena. There is also an Armor 34+ without the projector, listed at $579.99 at launch, or about €500 (about 328,000 FCFA).

Most of the published reviews cover the Armor 34 Pro from June 2025, from which the Pro+ differs only in its processor. TechRadar gave it 4 stars out of 5, while Heise and Smartzone both land at around 80%. All of them praise the endurance and the projector, and all of them point to the bulk. Our score of 7.6 out of 10 reflects that consensus.

Armor 34 Pro+ specs: the three numbers to remember
The battery comes first: 25,500 mAh, which is five times the capacity of a conventional smartphone. Then the weight: 825 grams, the equivalent of four ordinary phones. And finally the brightness of the projector: 150 lumens, which is enough for a dark room and too little for a room with the lights on.
Armor 34 Pro+ design: a brick, and proud of it
At 183.1 × 86.6 × 32.7 mm, the device is three to four times thicker than an ordinary smartphone. TechRadar talks about “brick” proportions and recommends mounting it in a vehicle rather than carrying it on your person.
The shell combines a metal frame, elastomer corners and a reinforced back. The top of the chassis houses the projector lens and the grilles of its two fans. The back carries a wide panel of 585 LEDs and the camera modules. The fingerprint reader sits on the side, and the uSmart 2.0 connector takes the brand’s own accessories.
One point remains unclear: the headphone socket. GSMArena lists a 3.5 mm jack, whereas TechRadar regrets that it is missing on the Armor 34 Pro. Check this detail with the seller if wired headphones matter to you.
Durability and certifications: IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H
The Armor 34 Pro+ lines up the three labels expected of a high-end rugged phone. IP68 guarantees that it is dust-tight and survives immersion at 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. IP69K adds resistance to high-pressure jets of hot water. The MIL-STD-810H standard covers shocks, vibration and swings in temperature.
Keep a cool head when faced with these acronyms. The American military standard describes test methods, and each manufacturer picks the ones it applies. Ulefone does not give the detailed list. The Gorilla Glass 5 that protects the panel dates back to 2016. And an 825-gram device absorbs far more energy every time it is dropped than a 200-gram phone does.
Good to know — Rinse the device in fresh water after it has been in salt water or muddy water, and let the USB-C port dry before you plug in the charger.
Display: a large 6.95-inch LCD panel at 120 Hz
The IPS LCD panel measures 6.95 inches and shows 1080 × 2460 pixels, which comes to about 387 pixels per inch. The 120 Hz refresh rate makes scrolling smooth.
There are two reservations, however. Peak brightness tops out at 600 nits according to GSMArena, where conventional smartphones sold at the same price routinely go beyond 1,500 nits. TechRadar adds that the glossy glass picks up reflections outdoors. For an outdoor phone, this is the real weak point: under the midday sun, you will have to look for some shade.
The LCD gives greyish blacks, but it has nothing to fear from burn-in on static screens, which are common on a work device. Widevine L1 certification, confirmed by the retailers’ listings, allows high-definition playback on Netflix and comparable services.
Performance: the Dimensity 7400X replaces the 7300
This is the only real change compared with the Armor 34 Pro. MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400X, built on a 4 nm process, pairs four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6 GHz with four Cortex-A55 cores at 2 GHz, along with a Mali-G615 MC2 graphics chip. Ulefone and MediaTek claim a gain of about 10% in computing, 20% in graphics and lower power consumption in games compared with the previous generation.
What these numbers are worth day to day
On the Armor 34 Pro, TechRadar recorded 1,029 points in single-core and 3,111 points in multi-core in Geekbench, a level that GSMArena compares with that of a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The Pro+ will do a little better, without moving up a category. Business apps run without any trouble, and demanding games call for medium settings. This chip runs cool and is easy on the battery: here, that is the right trade-off.
Memory and storage
The adverts mention “32 GB of RAM”: read that as 16 GB of physical memory and 16 GB of virtual memory. The 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and the microSD slot, which takes cards of up to 2 TB, leave plenty of room to carry films and offline maps. Against the backdrop of the rise in memory prices, this is still a generous allocation.
Armor 34 Pro+ battery life: 25,500 mAh and 66 W charging
Battery life is the whole point of this phone. Ulefone promises around ten days of everyday use. The measurements published for the Armor 34 Pro, which shares the same battery, give a precise idea: 56 hours 49 minutes of web browsing, 59 hours 34 minutes of video playback and 32 hours 31 minutes of gaming according to GSMArena, and 45 hours 43 minutes in the PCMark test at TechRadar. The Pro+ should at least match those results. For a reader who lives with repeated power cuts, that is a more concrete argument than any performance score.

A long recharge, and a backup battery for other devices
The downside shows on the clock. Despite the 66 W charger supplied in the box, TechRadar measured about five hours to fill an empty battery. It is better to plug it in overnight.
The 10 W wired reverse charging turns the phone into a power bank. The output is modest, but the reserve is large enough to recharge a conventional smartphone several times over.
Field features: a rugged phone with projector, lamp and night vision
Few competitors offer a rugged phone with projector, and none of them pairs it with a battery of this size.
A phone with a built-in projector: what it is really worth
The DLP module shows 854 × 480 pixels at 150 lumens. It throws an image of 30 to 100 inches across the diagonal, with autofocus and vertical keystone correction of plus or minus 40 degrees. GSMArena, which tried this projector on the Armor 34 Pro, underlines a practical detail: the image is thrown upwards, so that the phone lying flat on a table projects correctly onto the wall.
The quality is judged good in complete darkness, and a little dull as soon as some light remains. The resolution is enough for a film or a site plan, not for a spreadsheet. The two fans can be heard. As for endurance, GSMArena obtained 7 hours 15 minutes of projection from a local video file, and TechRadar estimates that a two-hour film uses about 28% of the battery.
Lamp, warning light and accessories
The rear panel deserves better than to be called a torch. Its 585 LEDs deliver up to 1,100 lumens according to Ulefone, with several uses:
- wide lighting for a tent, a workshop or a room left without power;
- a red and blue warning mode to signal a vehicle stopped at the side of the road;
- fill lighting for close-up photos and video.
The loudspeaker is rated at 98 dB. The uSmart 2.0 connector accepts the brand’s own accessories, including an endoscope for inspecting a pipe or an engine. Add to that the infrared emitter, the FM radio, NFC and a barometer. The thermal camera is missing, as it is kept for the Armor 28 Ultra and 29 Pro in their Thermal versions, and no hardware walkie-talkie is mentioned.
Camera: a decent 50 + 64 + 50 MP trio, without optical stabilisation
The camera block brings together a 50 MP main sensor in the 1/1.3-inch format (f/2.0), a 64 MP night vision camera (f/1.8) assisted by infrared LEDs and a 50 MP ultra-wide (f/2.2) that also handles macro shots. The selfie camera has 32 MP. Video goes up to 4K at 30 frames per second, with electronic stabilisation.

By day and by night
TechRadar rates the set-up above what most rugged phones offer, thanks in particular to the genuine ultra-wide sensor. GSMArena is harsher and notes limited sharpness, a narrow dynamic range and an uneven white balance. The takeaway is images that are good enough to document a building site, and a long way from what a camera phone produces at the same price. No optical stabilisation is reported; Ulefone makes up for it with its NightElf algorithms.
Night vision, a real tool
The infrared camera films in black and white in total darkness, at a range of a few metres. Do not confuse it with a thermal camera: it does not detect heat.
Software: Android 15, a light skin and uncertain support
The Armor 34 Pro+ runs Android 15 with an interface close to Google’s own. Ulefone adds its usual outdoor toolbox (compass, spirit level, measuring instruments), the projector app and the settings for the lamp. Google services are on board, contactless payment included. The AI features that are put forward (summaries of recordings, writing help) are barely assessed in the published reviews.
The black mark is support. Ulefone publishes no firm commitment on Android versions or security patches for this model, and the brand’s track record calls for caution: major updates are rare. Buy it for what it can do today, not for a hypothetical Android 16.
Armor 34 Pro+ price and availability in France and in Africa
Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ price: what it costs in France
Ulefone has no physical shop and no recommended retail price specific to France. The reference price is the one on its online store: $799.99, brought down to $749.99, or about €650 (about 426,000 FCFA) according to GSMArena. The brand says that it ships part of its orders from Germany.
At retailers, the phone is listed on Amazon.fr, as well as on the marketplaces of Cdiscount and Darty. In early October 2026, a French price comparison site recorded about €571 (about 375,000 FCFA) at Cdiscount and €642 (about 421,000 FCFA) at Darty, delivery included. These amounts move often: check the seller and the version (Pro+ with the Dimensity 7400X, and not Pro with the Dimensity 7300).

Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal: importing, networks and warranty
Rugged phones have a real audience in West and Central Africa: site foremen, surveyors, telecoms technicians, security guards, hauliers and motorbike taxi riders looking for a GPS that will not die on them. Yet Ulefone has no known official distributor there, and we found no public price in FCFA for this model. It is obtained by importing it, through AliExpress, the brand’s own store or a relative who is travelling, with shipping, customs duties and local VAT to add on top.
The 25,500 mAh battery also complicates shipping, because air carriers strictly regulate large lithium batteries: find out how it will be sent before you pay.
On the network side, compatibility is good. The device handles 4G bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41, which cover the ones used by operators in the region, as well as 5G bands n1, n3, n28, n77 and n78 for the countries where 5G is commercially available. The two nano-SIM slots come with a separate microSD slot; no eSIM is mentioned. The warranty means sending the phone back abroad: locally, count on an independent repairer.
Good to know — At IFA in Berlin, in September 2026, Ulefone presented an Armor 35 Pro fitted with a laser rangefinder that reaches 1.2 km, a Helio G200 chip and an 11,000 mAh battery. Neither its price nor its release date is known.
Pros and cons
Strong points
- Battery life of several days, measured at close to 57 hours of web browsing on the twin model
- A projector that is genuinely usable in the dark, with autofocus and keystone correction
- A 1,100-lumen lamp and a warning mode that are useful in a breakdown or a power cut
- 16 GB of memory, 512 GB of storage, a separate microSD slot, 5G, NFC and infrared
- The triple certification: IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H
Weak points
- 825 g and 32.7 mm: impossible to carry in a pocket
- A 600-nit LCD screen that is prone to reflections outdoors
- About five hours for a full charge
- Decent photos and no more, without optical stabilisation
- No update commitment and no repair network in France or in Africa
Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ review round-up: what the published tests say
The outlets that assessed the twin model agree. TechRadar describes it as awkward to carry around but rich in useful features. GSMArena singles out the endurance and the projector, and comes away disappointed by the camera.
Alternatives to the Armor 34 Pro+
Doogee V Max 2 Pro
Blackview Xplore 6
Three brands are fighting over the same ground. Look at Doogee’s flagship rugged phone if you want a device that is slimmer and closer to a conventional smartphone. Blackview’s reference model deserves a look for its screen and its camera. Oukitel’s top-of-the-range model also plays the very large battery card, often at a lower price.
Within Ulefone’s own range, the Armor 34+ takes everything except the projector for about €150 less. The sister brand RugOne is also launching, in October 2026, the Xsnap 7 Pro with a detachable action camera, announced at €1,099.99 (about 722,000 FCFA).
Conclusion: should you buy the Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+?
Yes, if you have a specific use for it. The Armor 34 Pro+ replaces a power bank, a site lamp, a small projector and a work phone. For a site crew, a travelling trainer, a camper or a household that lives with power cuts, the price can be justified.
No, if you are simply looking for a tough phone. At 825 grams, you will be tired of it within a week. A rugged phone of 300 to 400 grams will do the job better, with a brighter screen. And if software support matters to you, look at Samsung’s XCover range instead.
Our pick
Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ — the rugged phone to choose for long stretches in the field, when battery life, lighting and projection matter more than weight. Around €570 to €650 (375,000 to 426,000 FCFA) depending on the seller. If you have no need for a projector, take the Armor 34+.
Frequently asked questions
What is the price of the Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ in France?
Ulefone lists the device at $749.99 on its official store, against a list price of $799.99, which is about €650 (about 426,000 FCFA). In France, it is listed on Amazon.fr, Cdiscount and the Darty marketplace. In early October 2026, the prices recorded ranged from about €571 to €642. Make sure that it really is the Pro+ version and not the older Pro model.
Is the Armor 34 Pro+ the best rugged smartphone of 2026?
It is the most complete one for anyone after battery life and versatility: no other model brings together 25,500 mAh, a projector, a 1,100-lumen lamp and night vision. It is not the best at everything. Its LCD screen lacks brightness, its camera remains average and its 825 g weight makes it tiresome to carry. For a week in the field without electricity, it has hardly any equivalent.
How long does the Armor 34 Pro+ battery last?
Ulefone claims around ten days of everyday use. On the Armor 34 Pro, which carries the same 25,500 mAh battery, GSMArena measured 56 hours 49 minutes of web browsing, 59 hours 34 minutes of video and 7 hours 15 minutes of continuous projection. Count on several days of heavy use. A full charge takes about five hours with the 66 W charger.
Can the Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ projector be used in daylight?
No. With 150 lumens and a resolution of 854 × 480 pixels, it needs a dark room or nightfall. In those conditions, the published reviews describe a pleasant image of up to 100 inches, with effective autofocus. In full light, the image turns pale. A two-hour film takes a little more than a quarter of the battery.
Does the Ulefone Armor 34 Pro+ work in Cameroon and in West Africa?
Yes, as far as the network goes. It supports the main 4G bands used in the region (1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 40, 41), two nano-SIM cards and 5G on bands n3, n28 and n78 wherever it has been switched on. Check your own operator’s bands all the same. The difficulty lies in buying it: you have to import it and accept a warranty that requires sending it back abroad.
