The touchscreen MacBook Pro stole the spotlight, but it was not the only thing Apple showed this week. With the iMac M6, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip and an iPad mini that moves to OLED, the company refreshes three mainstream products at once. Pre-orders opened on October 28, 2026, and deliveries begin on November 6. Here is a quick tour, with US pricing.
iMac M6: new chip, same format

The iMac keeps its 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and moves to the M6 chip, with 10 CPU cores as standard and a 12-core option. It comes in seven colors.
Pricing starts at $1,499. Budget at least $1,699 for the version with four Thunderbolt 4 ports. Announced on Tuesday, October 27, it joined pre-orders the following day.
14-inch MacBook Pro M6: the sensible option

Next to the touchscreen OLED model, Apple keeps a more traditional 14-inch MacBook Pro. It carries a 12-core M6 chip and a mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display. From $1,999, it includes 16 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage.
According to Tom’s Guide, it promises up to 24 hours of battery life, and no 16-inch version joins this lineup. If you want a powerful Apple laptop without the OLED premium, this is the one to look at. The 14-inch OLED model with the M5 Pro, for its part, starts at $2,899, as we explain in our dedicated article.
OLED iPad mini: thinner and brighter

This is probably the most anticipated update of the week. The iPad mini gets an 8.5-inch OLED display that peaks at 1,200 nits, plus the A20 Pro chip. Starting price: $699.
Tom’s Guide adds several details: the speakers move under the display, which removes the grilles, the tablet is rated IP67, and its thickness drops from 6.3 to 5.4 mm. For a tablet you carry everywhere, those numbers matter.
Quick recap
- 24-inch iMac M6: 4.5K display, from $1,499
- 14-inch MacBook Pro M6: mini-LED, from $1,999
- OLED iPad mini: A20 Pro, 8.5 inches, from $699
All share the same calendar: pre-orders on October 28, availability on November 6.
What to make of it
This wave of products follows a clear logic. Apple is segmenting its lineup: touchscreen OLED for demanding professionals, the M6 chip for those who want power without the bill. The iPad mini, meanwhile, finally gets a panel worthy of its price.
Keep in mind that every price quoted here is American. Euro pricing, which you need for a proper comparison, had not been announced at the time of writing.
Our take in short
For the home, the iMac M6 remains a safe bet. For work on the move, the 14-inch MacBook Pro M6 looks like the best compromise. As for the OLED iPad mini, it will appeal to people who read, draw or travel a lot. Which of the three tempts you most? Let us know in the comments.
