Oppo has unveiled its latest range of watches, including the Oppo Watch 4 Pro, offering an enhanced design as well as advanced vital signs tracking capabilities. The watch combines a sleek design with durable materials and advanced tracking capabilities to deliver an unrivalled user experience.

Oppo has also launched the Oppo Watch SE, offering an affordable alternative to its Pro version for those looking for essential vital signs tracking features. Designed with composite material, this smartwatch features a 1.75-inch flat AMOLED display and is packed with practical features to help you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Oppo Watch 4 Pro

Durable design and materials:

The Oppo Watch 4 Pro features a refined design with a stainless steel case (which brings the watch down to 52.3g), offering increased durability over the previous aluminium model. The body of the watch has a brushed finish, creating a stylish contrast with the knurled crown. What’s more, the ceramic caseback ensures both durability and comfort to prevent skin problems.

Screen and colour options:

The 1.91-inch curved LTPO AMOLED screen offers an immersive visual experience. With a resolution of 378 x 396 pixels and a pixel density of 326 ppi, the screen displays vivid colours and crisp detail. The Oppo Watch 4 Pro is available in two colour options – Polar Night Black, with a black body and fluorinated rubber strap, and Dawn Brown, with a champagne colour on the body and a brown leather strap. You can take the watch to the pool, as it has 5 ATM water resistance.

Advanced vital signs monitoring :

One of the most exciting features of the Oppo Watch 4 Pro is its suite of advanced sensors that allow for comprehensive health monitoring. The watch can perform a 60-second scan measuring 7 key vital signs, such as ECG, heart rate, blood vessel age, sleep and stress. It can also measure things like blood vessel elasticity, detect arterial fibrillation, snoring, and even monitor blood sugar levels in real time.

The Watch 4 Pro also features real-time blood glucose monitoring, which triggers an alarm if values change abnormally. And that’s not all, there’s also a skin temperature sensor that’s accurate to within 0.1°C.

Processing power and energy efficiency :

The Oppo Watch 4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon W5+ chipset and features a BES 2700 chip for optimum energy efficiency. This combination of processing power and energy efficiency ensures smooth performance and extended battery life. Oppo has opted for more RAM and doubled the RAM to 2GB, but storage remains at 32GB.

The Watch 4 Pro has eSIM, hence the availability of 4G connectivity functionality. The main positioning satellites supported by the watch mean that exercise tracking can be managed effectively.

The watch is powered by a 570 mAh battery that will last up to 5 days in full smartwatch mode, up to 2.5 days in intensive use, and there is a Light mode that can last up to a few weeks. A 10-minute charge is enough to keep the Watch 4 Pro going all day, and a full charge will take just over an hour.

Availability and price

The Oppo Watch 5 Pro is available for pre-order in China from today. Shipping and open sales will begin on 8 September. The Polar Night Black version costs CNY2,300 (around $315/€290). The Dawn Brawn model is sold with two bracelets for CNY2,500 (equivalent to $345/€320). A CNY100 discount is available on both models if you pre-order.

Oppo Watch SE

The AMOLED display offers a resolution of 372 x 430 pixels with a pixel density of 326ppi, providing a crisp and clear viewing experience. Although the SE is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100, a slightly older chip than the one used in the Pro version, it’s still powerful enough with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

In addition to its technical features, the Oppo Watch SE offers a practical and efficient user experience. With a 400 mAh battery, the watch offers up to 3 days of battery life, and even up to 10 days in Light mode. As with the Pro model, the fast charge function means you can enjoy a day’s use after just 10 minutes’ charging, while a full charge will take just an hour.

Despite its status as an affordable alternative, the Oppo Watch SE hasn’t been compromised in terms of connectivity. It has eSIM for independent mobile connectivity, while NFC enables mobile payments and access to public transport. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 provide reliable wireless connectivity.

Although the Oppo Watch SE lacks the advanced sensors found in the Pro version, it remains a reliable companion for tracking your health. The watch continuously monitors your heart rate, detects irregular heart rhythms and assesses the quality of your sleep by measuring your blood oxygen levels. What’s more, thanks to its water resistance of up to 5 ATM, you can use it for your swimming sessions.

The Oppo Watch SE is available now from Oppo Shop in China with a base price of CNY1,000 ($140/€125). You can choose between the grey and purple models, which come with silicone straps, or opt for the dark brown model with a leather strap at a slightly higher price of CNY1,100.

With its sleek design, durable materials and advanced vital signs tracking features, the Oppo Watch 4 Pro is positioned as a premium smartwatch. Whether you’re looking for accurate health tracking or simply a watch with an impressive design, the Oppo Watch 4 Pro will meet your expectations. For its part, despite its affordable price, the Oppo Watch SE offers features such as heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring and convenient connectivity. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or simply health-conscious, the Oppo Watch SE is the ideal accessory to accompany you every day.
