How to surf the internet privately, incognito and securely without installing any software

The Internet has become the great network of the world where millions and millions of information are exchanged every second. We can’t do without it, whether it’s to do a simple search on Google or to chat with our friends on Facebook, twitter or YouTube we use the internet. And by surfing on it we leave traces (our personal information) that can be exploited by malicious people, our connection information, our browsing history, our bank details and everything can be within the reach of any malicious person.

Nowadays, thanks to certain features of our browsers, we can “try” to surf the Internet in a private way, without our information being collected or saved. Thus, in general, we can have the option “Browsing in private mode” in most of our browsers. With this option we can open a private window in which we can surf the Internet anonymously. Depending on the browser, we can access this functionality by following these steps:

FireFox

  1. Click on the three dashes at the top right
  2. Click on the “New private window” option
  3. Internet Explorer / Microsoft Edge
  4. Click on the three dots at the top right
  5. Click on the “New private window” option

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the three dots at the top right
  2. Click on the “New private browsing tab” option
  3. Opera
  4. Click on the three dashes at the top left
  5. Click on the “New private window” option

In the latter you have the possibility to easily activate the VPN which gives you an even higher protection.
