The Redmi K60 Pro is a premium phone that features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. According to Xiaomi, the chosen one can reach a brightness of 1400nits to the delight of users. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is one of the flagship processors of the moment, and many brands are scrambling for it to allow better performance from their phones. Xiaomi made the same choice for the Redmi K60 which embeds the incredible chipset with 8 cores (1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 & 3×2.0 GHz Cortex- A510). The on-board operating system is Android 13 supported by the MIUI 14 interface to support of the latest features and applications.
Moreover, the graphic aspect is provided by an Adreno 740 which provides good characteristics for gamers and other users fond of powerful processors. On its part, storage is provided by a huge internal memory that doesn’t leave room for an external card. The models offered therefore vary between these: 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 16GB RAM. Storage technologies are UFS 3.1 for 128GB storage only and UFS 4.0 is used for the rest of the models.

During the Redmi K60 Pro presentation, the leaders seemed proud to talk about the camera. The main shooter on the back of the device is a wide-angle type with 54MP which features the object recognition features for its AI filters. A stabilization option is included to make it easier to take quality capture. Two other cameras are present on the back, including an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP macro for detail optimization.
The functions supported range from Dual Led flash for maximum lighting for clear pictures in the middle of the night, to High Definition photos or videos taken without the possibility of taking panoramic shots. Of course, the company has thought about selfies and has incorporated a 16 MP camera on the front of the phone.

The Redmi K60 Pro is made in 4 colours: Green, White, Black and Champion Performance Edition colour. The last colour approaching the teal colour. It is not yet on the market but sales will begin at the beginning of this year on the Xiaomi China site, waiting to be available in the European zone. However, the price range is around €455 for the 8/128GB memory version and up to €620 for the 16/512GB version.
Verdict
The new K60 series has gems in terms of phones and each one is quite competitive in terms of performance and optical sensor. The integration of the Sdg 8 Gen 2 into the Pro version of K60 once again proves the performance of the chipset which makes other competitors pale. Thus the Redmi K60 Pro offers very good performance also in the display, in the processing of tasks by the processor, and in autonomy.
