Chinese tech giant Xiaomi recently confirmed the date of a major launch event in China on 14 August. Among the expected flagships, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will take centre stage, but it will also be joined by a number of other exciting devices, such as the Redmi K60 Ultra, Redmi Pad SE, Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max. In this article, we focus on the latest information about the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max.
As its name suggests, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is the successor to last year’s Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro. This new version promises to bring significant improvements over its predecessor, including a larger 1.74-inch rectangular screen, compared to the regular version’s elongated 1.62-inch pill-shaped display. Although Xiaomi has yet to reveal the type of panel used, it’s likely to be an OLED screen offering vibrant colours and increased sharpness. What’s more, the device will support 16.7 million colours, 336 PPI and a 60Hz refresh rate.
In addition to its improved screen, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro will offer some exciting new features. Inspired by the Apple Watch, it will offer customisable widgets and portrait watch face functionality, allowing users to personalise their experience to their preferences. These tactile additions should make using the watch more intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.
In addition to the connected wristband, Xiaomi has also confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, a tablet that promises to delight tech enthusiasts. In a teaser recently shared on the Weibo platform, Xiaomi revealed that the tablet would feature a large 14-inch screen. This generous size is likely to make it a serious competitor to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which also offers a large screen for an immersive experience.
According to rumours reported by Gizmochina, the Pad 6 Max will feature an LCD screen with 2.8K resolution and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. The device’s certifications indicate the presence of a 67W fast charging capacity, which goes hand in hand with the announcement of a larger battery in the Xiaomi Pax 6 Max. Under the bonnet, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 12GB RAM for 512GB storage were recently listed on GeekBench.
With an event launch scheduled for 14 August in China, Xiaomi continues to impress consumers with its line-up of new technologies. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max show promise, bringing significant improvements over their predecessors. Tech gadget fans can’t wait to find out more about these new products in the coming days ahead of the launch. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
