Vivo reveals key specifications of Vivo S18 and S18 Pro smartphones, combining performance and mid-range appeal

Vivo, known for its quality smartphones, recently launched its flagship X100 series. However, the brand isn’t stopping there, as it also plans to launch new mid-range smartphones in the Vivo S18 series. Thanks to information leaked online by tipster WhyLab on Weibo, we now have a glimpse at the key specifications of the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro.

According to the leaks, the Vivo S18 will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This powerful SoC has already been spotted in the new Honor 100, making it one of the first devices to feature SD 7 Gen 3. The phone will also feature an OLED display with 2,800 nits of brightness and a 5,000 mAh battery, offering extended battery life.

The Vivo S18 will also offer a combination of performance and storage choices. Users will be able to choose from three RAM configurations: 8GB, 12GB or 16GB, as well as two storage options: 256GB or 512GB. This flexibility will allow users to choose the configuration that best suits their needs.

For its part, the Vivo S18 Pro will be equipped with the powerful Dimensity 9200+ chipset, offering cutting-edge performance. It will also offer similar memory configurations to the Vivo S18, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery. What’s more, both smartphones are expected to support 80W fast charging, allowing for quick and convenient charging.

In terms of photography, the Vivo S18 Pro will feature a 50MP Sony IMX920 main sensor, offering high-quality shots. What’s more, it will also include WiFi 7 compatibility, enabling fast, high-performance connectivity.

Traditionally, Vivo launches its mid-range smartphones as the V series. So, we can expect the Vivo S18 to be released globally as the Vivo V30, while the S18 Pro could appear on the market as the Vivo V30 Pro. In addition, it’s also possible that an S18e model, successor to the S17e, could be launched globally as the V30e.

While we don’t yet have any official details on the launch date and price of the Vivo S18 series, it’s certain that Vivo will be providing more information soon. So smartphone fans can expect some exciting announcements in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on the new Vivo S18 and S18 Pro smartphones.
