What were the best products at MWC 2023?

Lenovo’s rollable laptop

Yes, that’s right! A rollable laptop. Lenovo has really brought a device that makes a statement. Just like the foldable phones, it offers a dual workspace to its user, as the screen expands with a fluid movement. Being a computer concept, it is unlikely to be mainstream if it is released.

The Motorola rizr: a rollable phone concept

Foldable technology was definitely on the cards, and Motorola was able to showcase it perfectly with its Rollable Phone Concept, which comes at a time when we’re eagerly awaiting the Motorola razr 2023. The rizr is a small 5-inch handset with a foldable screen that when rolled out reveals a 6.5-inch display. The other important feature of this phone is that when rolled up, an additional panel on the screen serves as a second screen for notifications.

The PanzerGlass Matrix hybrid glass screen protector

According to Bogdan Patrovan who had the opportunity to try it out, “the PanzerGlass Matrix Hybrid Glass screen protector is surprisingly nice and doesn’t feel at all like the sticky TPU protectors you probably think of when you think of plastic protectors. Unfortunately, the Matrix model is currently only available for the Galaxy S23 series, but that was soon to change.

Motorola Defy Satellite Link

he Motorola Defy Satellite Link is a compact and durable Bluetooth device that allows any Android or iOS device to send and receive text messages, share its location or contact emergency services via satellite. It’s a great alternative to buying an iPhone 14 if you want to send emergency messages from anywhere in the world. The service is run by Bullitt Group and costs $4.99/month, while the equipment itself costs $99.

The Honor Magic Vs foldable phone

This new foldable simply looks impressive, for those looking for a large foldable that fits well in the hand. The Magic Vs features a folding screen with a minimal crease and a snappy hinge, a flexible triple rear camera system and a slim profile that remains usable with one hand even when the screen is folded.

The Honor Magic 5 Pro

Beautiful, stylish and capable, it has everything to break the mold and be one of the best of the year. “With an Antoni Gaudí-inspired curved glass back and a triple 50MP rear camera setup, this flagship won’t be overshadowed by HONOR’s equally impressive foldable Magic Vs,” says the Android Authority editor.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

More expensive than the S23 Ultra, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has the features of that policy. With this phone you’re sure to get all the good features of an Android device, but the company has put more emphasis on photography by partnering with Leica. You’ll have in your hands a triple 50MP camera setup exemplified by the Sony IMX989 sensor.

Realme GT3

The Realme GT 3 brings ultra-fast 240W wired charging speeds, with a claimed zero to 100% charge time of just under 10 minutes. An ever-busty Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and a smooth 144Hz OLED display complete the speed trifecta.

Redmi’s 300W ultra-fast charging

Redmi has claimed that its 300W ultra-fast charging can charge the battery to 100% in just 5 minutes. The brand has released an official demonstration video based on a Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition and the results are eye-opening, 2 minutes and 11 seconds to reach 50% and less than 5 minutes to fully charge.

NuraLogix health assessment technology

NuraLogix brings a major revolution to the health field. This technology can analyse over 30 vital signs with just a video selfie. It works on any smartphone by analysing the user’s facial blood flow and using AI to compare it to a database of thousands of patients. The software then provides assessments of cardiovascular health, diabetes risk, etc., with a claimed accuracy rate of 95%.

Tecno Megabook S1 and Tecno Phantom V Fold

Tecno now has a range of stylish laptops and a foldable phone. Of these computers the Megabook SS1 stands out. It has a very nice appearance and its technical data sheet is just as good. When you buy it you get a nice 3.2K display, a 12th generation Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of SSD storage and a powerful 70W battery.

Another equally impressive device announced at MWC 2023 by Tecno is its first foldable phone – the Phantom V Fold. Big and sleek, it brings more choice to a not-so-rich market segment.

Other technologies presented by Android Authority such as the Prophesee Metavision, TCL NXTPAPER 11, the Xiaomi 4 Ultra electric scooter or Qualcomm’s stable broadcast device are also well worth a look, but as far as we are concerned the products listed above represent the Best of MWC 2023.
