World technology leader Sony could well revolutionise the gaming experience with its next-generation DualSense controllers. According to a recent patent filing, Sony is considering incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into its controllers, offering gamers valuable assistance during difficult gaming challenges.
At the time of writing, Sony already offers DualSense in basic and Edge variants (Edge is essentially the Pro version). However, patent filings suggest that the Japanese tech giant is preparing a new generation of DualSense, with major changes to the design. One of the most notable changes concerns the touchpad, which is now also a screen.
This isn’t just an aesthetic addition, as the new touchscreen will incorporate a robust system based on machine learning and AI. The new screen will guide players by displaying button prompts for the most effective actions to take.
