Motorola Razr 40: launch date finally revealed!

The rumours and leaks around the foldable phone series of Motorola have finally found their answer. Indeed, the company has finally revealed the worldwide launch date of the Motorola Razr 40 series: it will be on June 1st!

This series will be composed of two foldable models: the vanilla Razr 40 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. As their name indicates, one should be more affordable than the other, with different characteristics.

Expected features of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

Concerning the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, some specifications have been revealed. It will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 X 2640 pixels. At the back, a secondary 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 1056 X 1066 pixels will also be present.

The processor in this foldable model will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and probably 512GB of storage for the chipset. It will run the custom MyUX skin based on Android 13 out of the box.

On the battery life side, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is expected to come with a 3,640mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For photography, a 12MP Sony IMX563 main sensor, a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultra wide angle lens and a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls will be present.

Motorola revealed the global launch date of the upcoming foldable phones in a short video that shows the shells hidden in a shadow, without specifying the names of the devices.

All in all, the arrival of the Motorola Razr 40 series is highly anticipated by fans of foldable phones, and the official launch date of June 1 only adds to their excitement. This launch should be followed closely to find out all the details about these new models from the brand.
