Honor X50 Pro: launched with SDG 8+ Gen 1 and 108 MP camera

Today, Honor officially unveiled the Honor X50 Pro in China. This high-end smartphone is packed with impressive features, such as a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 x 2652 pixel resolution. It also offers 10-bit colour support and an integrated fingerprint sensor.

Summary of the Honor X50 Pro’s features

The Honor X50 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, offering fast and smooth performance. However, some might note that this chipset is slightly outdated now that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is available on the market.

In terms of photography, the Honor X50 Pro features a 108MP main camera with an f/1.75 aperture and a 1/1.67″ sensor size. This sensor guarantees sharp and detailed images, capturing every little detail. Above this huge camera ring is also a decorative 2MP sensor, although this may seem superfluous compared to the main sensors.

For selfie lovers, the Honor X50 Pro offers an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, allowing for high-quality self-portraits.

The Honor X50 Pro’s battery is also outstanding, with a capacity of 5,800 mAh. What’s more, it supports 35W fast wired charging, offering a fast and convenient charging experience.

The Honor X50 Pro runs Android 13 with the MagicOS 7.2 overlay. This offers a fluid and customisable user experience.

Currently available in China in stylish colours such as black and green, the Honor X50 Pro is priced at CNY2,799 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That’s equivalent to around $395 (€357). However, international availability of this smartphone remains uncertain at the moment.

In conclusion, the Honor X50 Pro is a high-end smartphone offering powerful performance, a 108 MP camera and a long-lasting battery. Although it’s launching in China for now, it’s already attracting interest from tech enthusiasts around the world.
