Honor Magic 6: camera and battery leaked

Honor, the Chinese smartphone brand, is preparing a special launch event for January 10, where it will introduce the new Magic OS 8.0 as well as the much-anticipated Magic 6 series. Rumours are swirling about the specifications of the new models, and a recent leak on Weibo has revealed some exciting details about the cameras and battery capacity of the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro. Here’s a look at what we can expect from this new series of smartphones from Honor.

Magic 6 series camera specs:

According to the leak, the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro will feature a powerful rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H main sensor as well as a 50-megapixel OV50M ultra-wide lens. This contradictory information contradicts earlier reports that suggested the Pro version would have a 50-megapixel main camera with a one-inch sensor. For telephoto shots, the Magic 6 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel OV50M sensor, while the Pro variant could house a Samsung HP3 sensor.

Focus on the Magic 6 Porsche Design Edition:

The leak also mentions that the Honor Magic 6 Porsche Design Edition will feature an impressive rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel OV50K main sensor. This will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel OV50M ultra-wide-angle lens and a Samsung HP3 telephoto lens. Speculation suggests that the Samsung HP3 used in the Magic 6 Pro and Porsche Design Edition could benefit from an impressive 200 megapixels, although some sources suggest a modified 160 megapixel version for the Pro model.

Batteries and fast-charging features:

In terms of battery life, the Honor Magic 6 is expected to feature a 5,450mAh battery, while the Magic 6 Pro and Porsche Design Edition could offer a slightly higher battery capacity, reaching around 5,600mAh. According to reports, the Magic 6 would support 66W fast charging, while the other two models could offer 100W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.

Power and performance:

According to previous reports, the entire Honor Magic 6 series will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, ensuring a smooth user experience and optimal performance. This cutting-edge chip should enable users to take full advantage of the software capabilities of the new Magic OS 8.0.
