A sandwich shape design
The Nubia Z50 is a smartphone with a design in three versions: black glass, white glass and green vegan leather. It has a sandwich body with metal contours. The frame of the phone is made of aluminum.
Under the screen, we can observe a fingerprint sensor (optical). We can’t forget to mention that it also has an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a proximity, and a compass.
As for the dimensions, the Nubia Z50 measures 162.9 x 72.9 x 8.7 mm for a weight of 199 g. This is enough to not be classified in the heavy range.
The Nubia Z50’s display is FHD+, AMOLED, and 6.67 inches. With a refresh rate of 144 Hz, it is above the 120 Hz mark which is the upper limit that most of its high-end competitors dare not exceed. Its brightness of 1,000 nits, allows it to offer good readability even in sunlight.
A camera made to succeed
The Nubia Z50 has a dual-sensor camera at the back: a main Sony IMX787 sensor of 64 MP and a second wide-angle module of 50 MP that allows for very good shooting angles. We will not forget the front HDR selfie camera of 16 MP.

A powerful 5,000mAh non-removable battery powers the Nubia Z50. Its wired fast charge has a speed of 80W.

The latest processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is responsible for accompanying the Nubia Z50 in its tasks. This chipset is backed up by RAM that ranges from 8GB to 16GB of RAM. For internal storage, the Z50 offers options ranging from 128GB to 1TB.
No one can doubt the ultra-power of the new Qualcomm chip, especially when combined with a powerful RAM and sufficient storage. This configuration certainly guarantees the Nubia Z50, speed and very good fluidity in multitasking. All this is further supported by the MyOS 13 user interface, which is based on the Android 13 system.

Since December 22, 2022, the Nubia Z50 is actually present in the market. The smartphone is available in several versions, the cost being set according to the memory configuration (RAM/ROM):
- 8/128 GB ROM at 2999 yuan (405 euros),
- 8/256 GB ROM at 3399 yuan (459 euros),
- 12/256 GB ROM at 3699 yuan (500 euros),
- 12/512 GB ROM at 3999 yuan (540 euros),
- 16GB/1TB of RAM at 5999 yuan (810 euros).
Conclusion
Some analysts present the Nubia Z50 as one of the cheapest smartphones in China. It is nevertheless a high-end phone that by some characteristics comes to compete with its companions as the Moto X40 of Motorola. Indeed, with its refresh rate (144 Hz) higher than the current standard (120 Hz), it is close to the X40 which is at the top of this point (165 Hz).
But when we remember that it is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and equipped with a particularly full memory configuration, we understand that the X40 is not the only smartphone that is in the line of fire of the Nubia Z50.
