A new leak reveals the specifications of the iQOO Z8 and Z8x

August is shaping up to be an exciting month for smartphone fans, with several upcoming launches from the iQOO brand. On August 31, the iQOO Z7 Pro will make its debut on the Indian market, while Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO will simultaneously introduce the iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x in China. These two new mid-range phones promise great performance in line with their respective prices. Ishan Agarwal, a well-known tipster, has shared the detailed specifications of these devices. Here’s a look at some of the details revealed.

The tipster revealed that the iQOO Z8 offers a 6.64-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth viewing experience. At the back, the phone features a dual-camera setup, including a 64MP main camera with image stabilisation and a 2MP portrait camera. There’s also a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

In terms of performance, the iQOO Z8 is equipped with the powerful Mediatek Dimensity 8200 chipset, guaranteeing fast, smooth performance. There are several memory options, with models offering up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB with a MicroSD card. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, offering decent battery life, and supports an incredibly fast 120W charge, so charging time is considerably reduced.

For its part, the iQOO Z8x shares many features with the iQOO Z8. It also features a 6.64-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2MP portrait camera. However, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and offers up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, also expandable up to 1TB. The iQOO Z8x’s battery offers a larger capacity of 6,000 mAh, although fast charging is limited to 44 W.

Both phones include features popular with users, such as a 3.5mm jack, side fingerprint sensor, NFC and IR control. They run on the OriginOS 3.0 operating system, based on Android 13, offering a user-friendly interface and a fluid user experience.

With these attractive new specifications, iQOO is gearing up to appeal to fans of mid-range smartphones, offering solid performance and interesting features at competitive prices. Users will soon be able to enjoy the iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x, which look to be real standouts in today’s smartphone market. The company has revealed that the iQOO Z8 and Z8x will be officially unveiled in China on 31 August at 7pm local time (4.30pm IST).
