Versus performance
The Pixel 7 features a Google Tensor G2 SoC coupled with a Titan M2 co-processor. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It is equipped with a pre-installed Android 13 system. For its smartphone, Google promises security updates over a period of at least 5 years.
Apple’s monster is equipped with an A15 Bionic chipset backed by 4GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512GB of storage. It comes with iOS 15 operating system. Apple’s systems have always been the best in the area of security and privacy.
The chipsets of both devices were tested on NanoReview. The Tensor G2 had an overall score of just 88 compared to the iPhone 13’s overall CPU score of 97.
This suggests that the A15 Bionic is more powerful than the Tensor G2. The GeekBench 5 scores also support this assumption as the A15 Bionic came out on top with a multi-core score of 4,844 compared to only 3,180 for the Tensor G2’s GeekBench score.
The Pixel 7 has the most RAM while the iPhone 13 has the most powerful SoC and the most internal storage. This makes the iPhone 13 the better performing phone.
Pixel 7 shoots better than the iPhone 13?
Google’s phone has a 50MP main camera (with Octa PD technology) coupled with a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor. For selfies, it comes with a 10.8 MP front camera.
The rear panel of the iPhone 13 houses two sensors of 12 MP each (one wide-angle and one ultra-wide angle). On the front, Apple’s smartphone has a 12 MP TrueDepth camera combined with a Retina Flash.
On DXOMARK, the Pixel 7’s predecessor (Pixel 6) is in 22nd place with a score of 126 while Apple’s phone is in 26th place with a score of 125.
When it comes to cameras, Apple’s phones have always been the best. However, according to the DXOMARK ranking, the Pixel 6 could shoot better than the iPhone 13.
Google has announced improvements to the Pixel 7’s sensors, so if we follow this logic, it’s clear that the Pixel 7 could be comparable to the iPhone 13 and perhaps even better than it in terms of camera performance.
Battery and charging
