After enabling this feature, when you open a shipping email and view dynamic card information at the top of your inbox with delivery status information, you can see if your package has been shipped, is in transit, or has been delivered.
Google announces that Gmail package tracking should work with all major carriers, although it did not provide the names of supported carriers.
