ToonApp is a photo editor from Lyrebird Studio, a mobile developer behind several other photo editing apps. The idea is straightforward: you pick a portrait and the app redraws it in a different style.
What ToonApp is for
The app runs AI filters over your photos: cartoon, anime, caricature, 3D figurine or a Polaroid-style portrait. Seasonal templates are added regularly, such as Halloween looks or effects tied to big sporting events. A newer feature turns a still photo into a short animated video aimed at social media. Results can be saved to your gallery or shared straight away.
Who is it for?
ToonApp is for people who want a fun avatar or profile picture without learning any editing. Since it works on faces, only upload photos of people who are happy for you to do so. The free version shows ads and restricts the effects; many filters sit behind a subscription, often billed weekly, which adds up to a lot over a year. Check the trial terms before you confirm anything.
Download ToonApp safely
The official versions are on Google Play and the App Store, both published by Lyrebird Studio. Avoid APK files sold as “Pro unlocked”: they bypass payment and can carry malware.
