Tubi is an American streaming service owned by Fox Corporation. The model is straightforward: the whole catalogue is free, paid for by advertising, and there is no paid tier at all. An account is optional; it lets you keep a watchlist, save your progress and get better recommendations.
What Tubi is for
The app offers films in every genre, complete TV series, live channels for news, weather, sport and entertainment, and Tubi’s own original productions. There is also anime, Korean drama, Bollywood and a Spanish-language section, with new titles added every week. Tubi never asks for a credit card, and it runs on more than thirty kinds of device, from phones to smart TVs.
Who is it for?
Tubi is for people in the countries where it has launched: the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and several Latin American countries. From the European Union, the website shows a message saying the service isn’t available there, and the app is missing from the French and Italian App Stores. In France and Italy, Pluto TV and Plex offer free, ad-supported films along the same lines.
Download Tubi safely
The official app is published by Tubi TV on the Google Play Store, and you can also watch at tubitv.com. Since Tubi is free, any site offering a “premium” or “ad-free” version to download is not official.
