Notion is a note-taking and organisation app from Notion Labs. Everything is built from pages and blocks: text, lists, images, tables and databases. It runs in the browser and as desktop and mobile apps, with a free plan and paid subscriptions.
What Notion is for
People use Notion to take notes, track tasks, keep a team wiki, plan projects or collect ideas. Its databases support subtasks, dependencies and custom properties, and can be shown as a table, a board or a calendar. The free plan gives a single user unlimited blocks, web publishing, basic forms, calendar connections and a limited trial of Notion AI. It limits uploads to 5 MB per file, page history to 7 days and guests to 10. The Plus, Business and Enterprise plans lift those limits.
Who is it for?
The free plan is a good match for students and individuals who want notes and projects in one place. Small teams can start for free, but block limits kick in once a workspace has more than one member. You need an account, and offline access only covers recent and favourite pages.
