How to install an iOS system on a Windows PC in 2022
Want to use Apple’s operating system on another PC or laptop? There is a method, but be prepared to put in some time and effort and let us walk you through all the steps in this article to make the process easier.
Go to tonymacx86.com, register and download Unibeast. Once it’s downloaded, install it like any other application.
Plug in the USB drive where you want to install the macOS system and run the disk utility.
If the USB drive currently has more than one partition, click on the Partition tab and use the minus sign to reduce it to a single partition occupying the entire capacity of the drive. Give the partition a name, ensure the format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click “Apply”.
If the scheme is set to GUID Partition Map, go directly to step 4. If not, you must click on the Delete tab, edit it and press Delete.
Start Unibeast, and in the first window that appears, select the USB drive you just formatted as the installer destination. Click Continue and browse through the application pages until you get to the one that asks you to choose the operating system you want to install. Click on the Mojave or High Sierra version, depending on which one you want to install.
On the next page you will be asked to choose between two boot modes, UEFI and Legacy. In most cases you should choose UEFI. The exceptions are PCs with an older motherboard that uses BIOS and not UEFI. If this is the case with yours, choose Legacy.
Once you have switched to boot mode, you will be asked to specify the graphics card for your PC. If you have a computer with a recent Intel processor, you can skip this step. It is only necessary for PCs whose graphics card is not compatible with macOS.
When you click Continue, Unibeast will start installing on your USB stick. This can take up to an hour, so please be patient.
If your PC has built-in discrete graphics cards, remove the discrete card. Finally, connect your monitor to your PC’s DVI port if it has one. This usually works better than HDMI or VGA.
You will also need to configure the BIOS or UEFI of the PC’s motherboard.
Plug in the USB drive you installed Unibeast on and restart your PC. It should now boot into Unibeast and give you the option to choose the drive to install from.
Select the drive and follow the installer until macOS starts to install. After about half an hour, the installation will be complete. When it’s finished, restart your PC, with the USB drive still connected. This time the Unibeast start menu will display the macOS boot disk. Select it and your computer will boot into macOS.
