Comparison between the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11: Which smartphone to choose?

The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11 are two high-end smartphones that offer a premium experience thanks to their aluminium/glass sandwich design. These devices stand out for their innovative features and high performance. In this article, we’ll compare these two models to help you make the best choice between the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11.

Design

The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ sports a central cut-out for the selfie shooter and curved edges, offering a sleek aesthetic. The volume and power buttons are located on the right spine, while the back of the phone houses an oval camera module featuring triple cameras and an LED flash.

In contrast, the OnePlus 11 features a left-positioned perforated cut-out for the front camera and a curved screen. The power buttons and alert slider are on the right spine, with the volume button located on the left edge. At the rear, there is a large circular module housing the camera sensors and an LED flash.

Display

The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ features a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. It offers impressive features such as HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, providing a smooth and immersive viewing experience.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11 features a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Despite having a maximum brightness of 1300 nits, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ shines brighter with a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. Both models feature glass protection to ensure the screen’s durability.

Performance

The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ mobile platform is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ 4nm with Adreno 730 GPU, and is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the other hand, the OnePlus 11 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. The SoC is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Performance comparison between the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11:

  • Processor: The OnePlus 11 features a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which potentially offers better performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ in the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+.
  • GPU: The OnePlus 11 also features an Adreno 740 GPU, which can offer better graphics performance than the Adreno 730 in the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+.
  • RAM: The OnePlus 11 can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. More RAM can enable better multitasking and smoother performance.
  • Storage: Both phones allow 256GB of storage, but the OnePlus 11 uses UFS 4.0, which can offer faster read and write speeds compared to UFS 3.1 on the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+.

Camera

  • Main sensor: Both phones use the same 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, which means they should offer similar performance in terms of image quality and optical stabilisation.
  • Ultra-wide-angle lens: The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ features an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, while the OnePlus 11 is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens. The OnePlus 11 therefore offers higher resolution for wide-angle shots.
  • Telephoto: The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ has a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom, while the OnePlus 11 has a 32MP RGBW telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ therefore offers superior optical zoom and a wider digital zoom range.
  • Front camera: The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ has a 32MP RGBW front camera, while the OnePlus 11 has a 16MP front camera. The OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ therefore offers higher resolution for selfies.

Both the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11 offer solid camera setups, with similar specs for the main sensor. However, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ stands out for its ultra-wide 8MP camera, 64MP periscope telephoto lens with superior optical zoom and greater digital zoom range, and 32MP front-facing camera. The OnePlus 11, meanwhile, offers a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 16MP front camera. The choice between the two will depend on personal preference when it comes to camera functionality.

OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ battery vs OnePlus 11 battery

Under the OPPO Reno 10 Pro +’s shell is a 4700mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. The OnePlus 11, on the other hand, has a 5000 mAh battery with a fast charge speed of 100 W (without SuperVOOC).

In terms of connectivity, the Reno 10 Pro + and OnePlus 11 offer 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC.

Overall, both the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ and the OnePlus 11 offer top-notch performance and high-end features. The final decision will depend on individual preferences in terms of design, user experience and specific camera specifications.
