Exclusive: Motorola Razr 40 appears in all its colours

US giant Motorola is set to launch two new foldable flip phones, the Moto Razr 40 and 40 Ultra. While the company has hinted at the release of these new smartphones, the exact specifications and launch date are still unknown. Instead of the previously leaked Razr Lite, it looks like it will be a Razr 40 instead and we know what it will look like thanks to the leaked official promotional renders.

The Moto Razr 40 will be available in several colours with a vegan leather finish in olive green, purple and cream, while the hinge cover will likely be metal with a glossy finish. While the precise size of its screen is not yet known, images suggest that the Razr 40’s screen will be similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The phone will feature a tiny cover screen for checking notifications and incoming calls, as well as customising the layout for compatible features such as music playback. The Moto Razr 40 will also feature dual cameras and an LED flash cut out above them.

Details about the hinge remain unknown, but it is possible that the hinge will hold at certain degrees to unlock features such as selfie mode. The presence of antenna lines on the frame suggests that the phone will be made of metal.

On the inside, the Razr 40 has a hole-shaped cutout in the centre of the foldable screen. The edges of the screen are clearly visible. We can also see the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone. On the bottom edge are the USB Type-C port and the main speaker grill. There are antenna lines on the frame, suggesting the use of metal.

While other details about the Moto Razr 40 are still unknown, the first images leaked by industry sources look promising. While we wait for the release, share your thoughts in the comments on the new official images of Motorola’s upcoming foldable phone.
