Apple offers two types of warranties for its iPhones: Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare+.
The Apple Limited Warranty is a free warranty that comes with every new iPhone. It covers iPhone for one year from the date of purchase and includes free telephone technical support and repair/replacement coverage for manufacturing defects.
AppleCare+ is an extended warranty that provides additional coverage for two years from the date of original purchase. It covers two incidents of accidental damage (subject to service charges), as well as extensive telephone technical support and repair/replacement coverage for defects.
