Apple has an unusual appointment on Wednesday, October 28, 2026: a press-only “experience” called Apple Pro and Tell, held in Los Angeles. Journalists are expected to try new Macs and an iPad mini on site, then publish their first impressions. Here is what is known and what is still rumor.
Apple Pro and Tell: what is confirmed

Media are invited to an in-person hands-on session in Los Angeles starting at 10 a.m. Pacific, which is 6 p.m. in France and Italy. It is not a traditional keynote: no big filmed presentation, but devices to handle and impressions published right afterwards.
The only official hint comes from Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak, who wrote: “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.” The wordplay points to “Pro” products.
Products expected, according to rumors
Apple has confirmed nothing so far. Based on reporting relayed by MacRumors, the expected lineup includes:
- a MacBook Pro with a touch-enabled OLED display;
- an entry-level MacBook Pro with the M6 chip;
- an M6 iMac;
- an iPad mini with an OLED display.
Release date: October 28 or November 6?

Do not mix up the press event with the on-sale date. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the OLED MacBook Pro and other devices may only reach stores on Friday, November 6. First reviews could therefore appear several days before the public can buy.
What it means for you

If you are hesitating over a new Mac or iPad mini, waiting until October 28 makes sense: you will know which machines actually exist, along with early press reactions. The event also lands just days after the iPhone Duo launch, a sign of a busy autumn at Apple.
