Phone Temperature is an Android app from Walk & Code. It reads the battery information Android exposes and puts it on a single screen, with the battery temperature front and centre.
What Phone Temperature is for
The app shows battery temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, a setting you choose once and forget. Readings refresh on their own whenever the battery state changes. You also get the discharge rate and per-app battery use, which helps track down whatever is making the phone warm. A charge alert reminds you to unplug. Paid options add home screen widgets, a dark theme, the current charge in mAh and an ad-free experience. The developer points out that values can differ depending on each device’s drivers, so treat them as a guide rather than a lab reading.
Who is it for?
It’s for anyone whose phone gets hot while gaming, running GPS navigation or charging, and who wants to know whether the battery is getting too warm. The app doesn’t cool anything down. It shows the numbers and leaves the rest to you, like taking the case off or unplugging for a while.
Download Phone Temperature safely
Phone Temperature is free on Google Play, where Walk & Code also lists a PRO edition. Be wary of so-called cooler apps that promise to drop the temperature with one tap: software can’t do that.
