In this article, let’s dive into the details to find out what Motorola has in store for us with the Moto G Play (2024).

Design and build

The Moto G Play (2024) features a centred perforated screen and a thick chin at the front. At the back, a rectangular bump houses a main camera, while a second circle is reserved for the flash. Flat bezels, the volume button and power key on the right-hand side, and the SIM card slot on the left-hand side complete a modern design.

The power button will also act as a fingerprint scanner, adding a handy layer of security. The USB-C port at the bottom is accompanied by a microphone and speaker, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is located at the top of the smartphone.

Supposed features of the Moto G Play (2024)

The 2024 Moto G Play is said to feature a 6.5-inch FullHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and that should be enough to deliver an immersive viewing experience. Centred perforated screen adds a modern touch to the design

Under the bonnet, the Moto G Play (2024) will be powered by a Snapdragon processor, although support for 5G connectivity is yet to be confirmed. With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, the phone should have smooth performance and enough storage capacity for everyday and not greedy tasks.

According to leaks, the main rear camera, with a 50MP sensor, promises high-quality shots. At the front, the selfie camera is an 8 MP shooter. For light management it will come with a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 15w wired charging.

Price and availability

The Moto G Play (2024) is expected to be available in a range of colours, with the Sapphire Blue version leading the way. Rumour has it that the price in the US will be around $169, with the official release scheduled for next month.
