Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 2 is building up a lot of anticipation, and thanks to a leak on Android Authority, we now have a look at the watch faces that will be available. Watch faces are an essential part of any smartwatch, and the designers of the Pixel Watch 2 have created a wide range of styles and customisation options. In this article, we take a look at the different categories of watch faces and their unique features.

Category 1: Accessible dials for optimum legibility

The dials in the Accessible category focus on simplicity and legibility. They offer a sleek design to minimise distractions. The Just Time, Circular, Linear and Stacked Time dials fall into this category, offering simple, clear options for those who prefer an easy-to-use interface.

Category 2: Arc dials for advanced customisation

Arc dials add a touch of complexity and offer advanced customisation. There are six variants in total, each with two sub-variants for adding the complications of your choice. You can choose between two or four complication slots to personalise your experience. This category offers a unique and personalised watch dial creation.

Category 3: Bold Digital dials for bold, modern style

Bold Digital dials are designed to match the newly added screen clocks on Pixel phones running Android 14. This category uses bold, overlapping fonts and coloured palettes to offer a bold, modern style. Just Time and Radial options are available in this category for those who prefer a crisp, captivating dial.

Category 4: Analogue Bold dials offering a unique combination of styles

Analog Bold dials offer a unique combination of Arc and Bold Digital dials. You can also customise the complications of these dials for an even more personalised experience tailored to your preferences.

Wear OS 4: A fully customisable experience for the dials on the Pixel Watch 2

Whichever dial you choose, you’ll be able to change the colours. But that’s not all. Wear OS 4 offers an additional dynamic theme feature that allows you to sample the colours of your watch face and apply those colours to the rest of your watch’s user interface. This provides a complete and seamless personalisation experience throughout the Pixel Watch 2.

Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 2 promises an advanced personalisation experience through its diverse range of watch faces. From Accessible dials offering simplicity and legibility, to Bold Digital dials offering bold modern style, users will be spoilt for choice when it comes to personalising their watch to suit their preferences. What’s more, with Wear OS 4’s dynamic theme feature, you’ll be able to match the colours of your watch face to the rest of the user interface.
