Price and availability of  Amazfit GTR 3 Pro and  Amazfit GTR 4 Pro

The Amazfit GTR 4 Pro was launched in Germany and Poland during IFA 2022 in Berlin. As for Germany and Poland, pre-sales started on September 02, 2022, but some German customers received theirs on September 12, 2022 and on September 16, 2022 for Polish customers.

The launch of the GTR 4 Pro in Germany and Poland comes with a price of 199.99 euros for the GTR 4 Pro. When the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro was launched, it was priced at around $249. The standard GTR 3 watch, on the other hand, cost around $180.

The design of the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro vs Amazfit GTR 4 Pro

While many smartwatches and fitness trackers try to feature rounded corners and few buttons, the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro is dominated by its large circular display, with two buttons on one side. It’s worth noting that the GTR 3 Pro doesn’t have the sturdier design of the Amazfit T-Rex or T-Rex Pro, nor is it very customizable. You can choose the brown leather strap or the black fluoroelastomer strap, and that’s it.

The Amazfit GTR 4 Pro has a classic circular watch design, unlike the GTS 4 which is more inspired by the Apple Watch. The 22mm band is comfortable to wear, but it can pick up sweat marks after vigorous exercise. It has a quick release, which allows you to replace it with a personalized bracelet. There are two buttons on the side of the watch – one for the main menu, and another with quick access to workouts.

The Display of Amazfit GTR 3 Pro vs Amazfit GTR 4 Pro

By far the most remarkable part of the GTR 3 Pro is its display. The circular AMOLED display doesn’t have a real enough bezel, almost spilling over the edges and allowing for deep blacks and vibrant colors. It measures 1.45 inches, has a pixel density of 331 ppi and a brightness of 1000 nits. Whether you’re looking up the time, tracking a workout, or using one of the animated watch faces, the GTR 3 Pro’s display is always readable in sunlight.

Equipped with a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 336×384, the GTR 4 Pro also features Amazfit’s 4PD BioTracker 4.0 optical sensor which has been upgraded to 2LEDs, and Amazfit claims it collects 33 % more data than the previous generation, which puts it almost at the same level as a heart rate belt

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro and GTR 4 Pro software and features

The Amazfit GTR 3 Pro’s user interface is built from Zepp OS, and it’s absolutely feature-packed, with a focus on training and tracking fitness and health metrics. In terms of features, Zepp OS has its own ubiquitous smart assistant, stress and cycle trackers, and built-in GPS tracking. Equipped with a 450mAh battery, the battery of the GTR 3 Pro is impressive. Amazfit claims that even with intensive use, the user will be able to last six days (12 days in case of “regular” use) before needing to recharge it.

As expected, the new Amazfit watches in particular have been upgraded to Zepp 2.0. A huge upgrade, completely unknown to the market until now, is the GTR 4 Pro’s circularly polarized dual-band GPS system, which allows the user to navigate with precision even in particularly difficult areas. Future firmware updates will also support a system that connects to 6 satellites. Amazfit’s battery life exceeded all expectations with a 270mAh battery that can last up to 15 days in normal use, and 45 days in battery saver mode.
